Mats Hummels was the finest player on the pitch for Bayern, which were generally toothless in their 0:0 draw against Berlin on Saturday.
Hummels was the best player on the pitch. He marshalled his defence very well, Keeping Hertha quiet for large portions of the match. He stepped into midfield, even into attack creating chances and getting close to scoring. His outside of the boot cross to Robert Lewandowski was simply sensational. Mats Hummels was Bayern’s most threatening player on the pitch.
Süle was one of the better players as well. He marked Davie Selke out of the match completely. A comprehensive performance from the young centre-back who is slowly becoming one of the most consistent performers on this team.
A good showing by David as he is slowly returning to his lofty standards. David did his defensive duties well while also attacking when required. He kept their left-hand side quiet all game, even when Bayern had to play with 10 men, as Coman was injured.
Ulreich had a good game as usual. He made good saves whenever called upon. No surprise, nothing to add.
Pretty average performance from Thiago, as he looked frustrated and out of ideas as Hertha defended deep. It is still a decent performance as he looks to rebuild his fitness.
Javi had an average game. He won his duels but did not offer much beyond that. He contained Valentino Lazaro very well. A decent effort.
Lewandowski missed chances galore and was incredibly frustrating to watch. He made brilliant runs into great positions only to misfire or just shoot straight at Jarstein. This was simply horrible finishing.
Rafinha was defensively solid but provided little to no impetus in attack. He had a moment of brilliance with an amazing cross to Robert Lewandowski which was saved. A decent defensive performance but nothing further.
The Raumdeuter had so-so game considering the form he has been in the past few weeks. As the game grew on, he faded and was anonymous. All in all, he did not make a huge mark before being subbed off.
Frustrating performance for Franck, but he looked a bit better. He had a great one on one opportunity which was blasted high over the bar. He also played a good pass to Robert Lewandowski which was saved. It is much better than past few weeks but still average.
Robben looked like he was trying too much to little avail. His performance is shown as he attempted five duels, winning only one. This was a day to forget for the Dutchman.
Arturo Vidal, Sandro Wagner and Kingsley Coman were subbed in, but they did not have much of an impact. On the bench: Tom Starke, Juan Bernat, Corentin Tolisso, Sebastian Rudy
