Bayern defeats Stuttgart 2:0, Hans-Jörg Butt gets a clean sheet

FC Bayern offers Hans-Jörg Butt a clean sheet on his farewell game as a goalkeeper. The 2:0 win is due in part to his great saves in the first half. He ended the match with 5 saves.

The first half was sleepy for 30-35 minutes, but then Stuttgart created a few scoring chances that Butt stopped with brilliance. Bayern fired back with spirit, with end-to-end runs that made Stuttgarters realized they had woken up a monster.

Once again, Takashi Usami showed some promise, early on, with his dribbling skills and passes. Transfer this boy to Munich and loan him. He might develop into something special.

Thomas Müller probably was the other man of the match, having offered Gomez his goal on a silver platter, and finishing the job himself with the second goal.

You could say that the defense was not well organized, but the level of motivation was rather low today.

This match was rather a big showcase for the new away kit, with its neon orange stripes. Is that some plot to make Robben extend his contract and play for “Die Orange” more permanently?

Who will dye their hair to match with the new color? I’ll publish your pics if you send them to me. I dare you.

Goals

1:0 A long pass from the defense deflects on a Stuttgart player on the left wing. Thomas Müller picks it up and crosses to Gomez on the right. The big 33 sent the ball low in an open net (32′)
2:0 Outnumbering the Stuttgarters on a counter, Thomas Müller receives a long pass and he puts it past Ulreich, on the right (90′)

Yellow cards

Niedermeier, Rafinha
